Hawthorne’s ‘Wonderettes’ Coming Nov. 12-14

Hawthorne Players Returns
To Stage with Fun Musical

Hawthorne Players of Florissant will present the musical, “The Marvelous Wonderettes,” featuring over 30 classic ’50s and ’60s hits on stage at the Florissant Civic Center Theatre, located at Parker Rd. and Waterford Dr., directed by Ken Clark for one weekend, Nov. 12,13 and 14.
This smash off-Broadway hit takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! In Act Two, the Wonderettes reunite to take the stage and perform at their ten-year reunion. Director Ken Clark says, “This is a show that simply wants to entertain you, but it’s not an easy show. These ladies are on stage the entire show, singing four-part harmony with choreography.”
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 and 13 with matinees at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, and Sunday, Nov 13. Tickets are $20 for regular tickets, $18 for older adults and students, and $15 each for groups of six or more. Masking is required and seating is socially distanced.
