Several recent incidents including the deaths of two  children being killed and another being injured by unsecured handguns  should serve as reminder to all of us the importance of securing/locking weapons at home  out of the reach of children.

The Florissant Police Department has a limited number of gun locks available for Florissant  residents at no cost.  Only one lock per household is currently being offered due to the  limited number of available gun locks.  The program is being offered on a first-come, first-  served basis.

The gun locks can be picked up at the Florissant Police Department lobby.  Identification will be required to establish the recipient is a Florissant resident.
