Missouri State High School Activities Association member institutions, and affiliated registered schools, will begin practices for fall sports teams, weather permitting.

High School Football teams can run preseason scrimmages Aug 20 or 21 and can open the season Aug 27 or 28. Fall Softball, Girls Golf and Girls Tennis teams open the season as early as Aug. 23 while Boys Soccer, Boys Swimming and Diving, Cross Country, Girls Volleyball and Field Hockey can begin as early as Aug. 27.

North County Christian School, an MSHSAA affiliated registered school, will close the fall season with the Missouri State Christian championships in late October, dates to be announced

All MSHSAA member schools will close the season by competing in district, sectional and/or state championships, except Boys Swimming closes with the state championships Nov. 13. MSHSAA does not sanction  state Field Hockey, which has mainly St. Louis area schools and the championships will be decided late October or early November.

MSHSAA State championship dates for fall sports are: Girls Golf-Oct. 18-19, Fall Softball-Oct.23, Girls Tennis-Team-Oct.21, Singles-Doubles-Oct. 23, Cross Country-Nov. 6, Girls Volleyball-Nov. 6, Boys Swimming and Diving-Nov. 13, Boys Soccer-Nov. 20, Football–Eight-Man-Nov. 26, 11-Man-Nov. 26 (Classes One, Three, Five), Nov 27 (Classes Two, Four Six).

WINTER — Practices begin for Wrestling-Nov. 1, Basketball-Nov. 8 and Girls Swimming and Diving-Nov. 15. Competition begins for Wrestling and Basketball-Nov. 22 and Girls Swimming and Diving-Dec. 6. North County Christian School closes competition with the Missouri Christian championships in mid to late February. MSHSAA Wrestling and Girls Swimming championships are Feb. 19, 2011 while the Basketball championships will take place March 12, 2011 for Classes Four, Five, March 19, 2011 for Classes One, Two, Three.

SPRING — Dates for Boys Lacrosse are not available while Water Polo (no area teams) can begin practicing Feb. 21, 2011 and competition begins March 14, 2011. For Baseball, Boys Golf, Boys Tennis, Boys Volleyball, Girls Lacrosse, Girls Soccer and Track and Field Practices begin Feb. 28, 2011 and competition begins March 18, 2011.

North County Christian — which competes in Baseball, Girls Soccer and Track and Field during the Spring — closes the Spring season with the Missouri Christian championships late April or Early May. MSHSAA does not sanction state championships for Boys Lacrosse (a club sport at press time) Water Polo (a boys sport in Missouri), Boys Volleyball and Girls Lacrosse. Those sports crown their championships in mid to late May (dates to be announced), 2011 and must be done by the last day of school.

MSHSAA state championship dates are: Boys Golf-May 17, 2011, Track and Field–May 20-21 (Classes One-Two), May 27-28 (Classes Three-Four), Boys Tennis–Team-May 26, Singles and Doubles-May 28, Baseball-June 2 (Classes One-Two), June 4 (Classes Three-Four), Girls Soccer-June 4.
