Single Parent Support Group to Meet

A small group of single parents in Florissant is launching an area-wide support group for single parents.

The group has planned an initial get-together on Saturday, July 10, at 1 p.m., at Dunegant Park #1 (Derhake and Pohlman streets). In case of rain, they will meet at the Florissant Valley Branch Library, 195 New Florissant Rd.

The group wants to expand the current group of under ten individuals to support each other with similar problems such as employment, housing pressures, raising children without the help of a life-partner, and managing the challenges.
