FLORISSANT CO-HOSTS FIESTA IN FLORISSANT

The Hispanic Festival Inc. and the City of Florissant co-hosted the successful “Fiesta in Florissant” Hispanic Festival at the Duchesne Home Association Grounds on June 22 and 23 The weather was warm, but that did not stop people from experiencing the vibrant sounds, food, and arts that the Hispanic culture brings.

There were live Latino bands, authentic foods, folkloric dancers, Hispanic crafts, a kids corner, a car show and car cruise, an arts village, and information booths.

Mayor Tim Lowery, Police Chief Tim Fagan, and the Florissant City Council joined for a welcome ceremony to kick off the festival.

The fair’s main purpose is to celebrate the common heritage of Hispanic nations with the rise of the Hispanic population in North County and Florissant.
