LWV Guide For April 4th Election Available

LEAGUE OFFERS VOTE VOTERS GUIDE FOR APRIL 4 ELECTION,

Voters can cast Absentee Ballot without Excuse

The League of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis has just released an online guide to help voters cast an informed ballot in the April 4 municipal election. “It’s even more important to vote in local elections since city leaders and school board members have even more impact on our everyday lives than legislators,” says Angie Dunlap, President of the League of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis. “Voters can go to VOTE411.org online to learn about the candidates, ballot measures and changes in Missouri’s voting laws.”

The League contacted more than 700 candidates running for school board, city council, mayor and other local offices in five counties. The Voters Guide to be published in the March 19 St. Louis Post-Dispatch will include summaries of more than 100 local ballot issues, including many to collect a 3 percent sales tax on recreational marijuana sales. Volunteers will deliver 8,000 copies of the print Voters Guide to more than 90 sites in the Metro area.
