Council Says Farewell to Cannoli’s Restaurant;

Welcomes New Hawaiian Brothers Restaurant

The Florissant City Council met for their second March meeting this week. They honored Cannoli’s Restaurant and held a public hearing about the Community Development Block Grant.
The council passed a resolution acknowledging and thanking Cannoli’s for 28 years of dedication and service to the community. The owners of the restaurant recently announced that they were retiring and closing the restaurant.
The council held two public hearings. The first hearing was about a request to approve a special use permit to allow for a new restaurant at 6 Grandview Plaza Shopping Center. Councilwoman Jackie Pagano said that she had not heard from the business and would like to continue the hearing until the first April meeting. The council voted to continue.
