Hazelwood CC East Closed but Disc Golf, Community Center Open

Hazelwood Opens Community Center, Disc Golf Course; Civic Center East Remains Closed Indefinitely

Hazelwood will open the fitness area in the Community Center, the Disc Golf Course, and the Skate Park on June 29, 2020, as well as begin providing fitness classes. No basketball will be allowed at this time. The Community Center will be open to residents and premier pass holders only and all premier passes will be extended by four months. Due to budget cuts, Civic Center East will remain closed indefinitely.

Patrons must wear masks while in the Community Center and check in with the front desk upon arriving. Patrons must also wipe down equipment before and after each use with the sanitizing wipes provided by the facility. Additionally, patron visits will be limited to one hour to allow the maximum number of patrons to utilize the facility.

Hazelwood Parks and Recreation will also begin offering programs, including Lightning Calculation camp, Magic to Amaze camp, Crayola World of Design, Mad Science Rocket Camp, Mad Science Inventors camp, and Zumba. Some programs previously offered at Civic Center East, such as personal fitness training, yoga, chair yoga, and senior yoga, are now being held at the Community Center. Family Splash Night is July 31, 2020 at White Birch Bay Aquatic Center.

You can sign up for activities on the Parks and Recreation page on the city’s website at www.hazelwoodmo.org.
