Help keep 100+ tons of materials out of landfills
Technically, Leftovers, etc. is a “recycle/reuse/repurpose not-for-profit organization” with a customer base of 45,000+ local educators representing public and private schools, Parents as Teachers, early childhood centers within the school systems, homeschool educators, universities, not-for-profit organizations working with under-privileged, at-risk and developmentally disabled children and adults, churches, Scouting groups, independent early childhood centers, occupational and physical therapists, government offices and the public.
In addition to being a resource center, Leftovers, etc. is a learning center which provides many different workshops, classes, school trips, and even offers birthday parties, DIY, and donation drives. Leftovers, etc. offers supplies that “spark a child’s imagination, stretches their thinking process and teaches them that you do not have to spend a ton of money for things for them to do,” according to the site. Other clientele include the Magic House, Science Center, Backstoppers, Center for Head Injury Services, St. Louis County Library Branches, Disabled American Veterans, Lutheran Family Services, Education Plus, Ronald McDonald House, YMCAs, St. Louis Arc and St. Louis Crisis Nursery.
There is also a performing arts program with classes in Ballet, Tap, and even Country Line dancing, to name a few. This program will soon be expanded to include Mommy and Me classes.
There is also a complete program for the Down syndrome Community which partners with the Pujols Family Foundation. For more info or to donate your clutter, please call 314-455-9424.
Program Offerings:
• Teacher Appreciation Days: Leftovers is offering a half-price sale the first Saturday of every month for all teachers; public and private schools, daycares and home school parents.
• Veterans Children’s Program – Free school supplies year-round for all children of our Veterans, in cooperation with The Kaufman Fund. All families need to be registered for this program.
• Donation Drive for New School Supplies: We are holding a donation drive for NEW school supplies. Bring in new school supplies for our Veterans Children’s Program and receive a voucher for $5.00 off your next purchase.
• Back to School Supply Packs: pre-packaged back-to-school supply packs for $5.00 that includes a binder, 2-3 folders, ruler, scissors, slightly used crayons and loose paper.
• DIY In-house Classes-Monthly Activity Schedule: We are in the process of
resuming our Monthly Activity Schedule for in-house classes.
• Girl Scout “Journey In A Day” Workshops – In-house workshops have resumed effective immediately. Schedule your workshop early.
