Take a Journey Through Christmas Wonderland in Alton Grandpa Gang...
Read MoreScott Linehan Could Show More Emotion
BY RANDY GARDNER
Can you believe that we are sitting mid -week and we can say that the Rams won last weekend. For me, it’s hard to believe. It wasn’t a great outing, but a game in which wthe Rams were able to do just enough to win.
It was really good to see Steven Jackson run North and South— he’s pretty good when he does that. He can gain a lot of yards when he’s not dancing around. This team is 5-6 right and needs some major help from Seattle losing a game here or there. It’s pretty sad when you can be 5-6 in your division and still be in the hunt of things. Oh well, well take what we can get.
Like I said last week, I am a big fan of Scott Linehan but I want this guy to show some emotion once in a while. I want to see this guy go nuts and motivate this team in that manner. Did you see what Bill Parcels did in Dallas with kicker Mike Vanderjack, he simply cut him. That makes a statement to all.
Maybe Scott needs to instill some fear in these guys that they are professionals and that they are playing for their jobs every week. Like always though, a couple of wins and we will all be right back on the bandwagon.
•Big Night For Guns N Hoses
I hope you had a chance to get out and support the Guns N Hoses Boxing Matches this year between the firefighters and the policemen. As always, it was a packed house at the Scottrade Center this year with the police winning 10 bouts to 7. The females fought in the third bout and it was pretty good as always. It’s always a crowd favorite. Hopefully next year, we will see more female boxers in the ring, the fans really enjoy it.
All of the money raised goes to help the firefighters and police officers killed in the line of duty. I will never tell anyone to give money to but if you ever do, this is a great cause. Remember, they protect you and me everyday.
•Blues Need Fan Support
I had a chance to catch some of the Blues home game on Tuesday night on TV and it was a disgrace. Where the heck were the fans. The place was half empty. I know the lines weren’t that long at the restrooms or the food service. This team has to put some wins together to create some excitement or they are in trouble to.
The new owners of the team make some great improvements to the Scottrade Center including a new graphic video ring around the middle of the Center. It is awesome, I always remember seeing it in Denver when the Avalanche were handing it to the Blues in the playoffs. For no other reason than to see the new video ring, head down to a Blues game.
You might have to second mortgage the car or house though to pay for the tickets for a family of four unless you sit in the nosebleed seats. Finally count your blessings and spread cheer this Christmas Season.
