The Chamber awarded the CATHY BEHLMANN VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD to KITTY HARRISON, with Johnny Londoff Chevrolet. Kitty has been a longstanding member of the Chamber.

She has been heavily involved as a board member, and is the current Marketing Committee, and Community Service chair. She has been the chair of the Fundraising Committee, and was last year’s Nite of Stars committee chair. Kitty has volunteered at different chamber events, including volunteering for the 2019 Valley of Flowers Festival where the Chamber won first place for Best Float for an Organizational Unit.

The Chamber awarded the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR award to YOLANDA ALLEN-JACKSON, with A Savvy Employment Solutions. The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce began this award in 2015 to highlight a member who has been in the Chamber two years or less and who became actively involved from the beginning. It is members like the Rookies who make a difference in our committees because once they become involved, they tend to stay involved. They understand the needs of the Chamber and are willing to go the extra mile.

The Chamber awarded the AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR AWARD to DANA GRIMM, with the Daniel & Henry Company. The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassador Committee is one of the most important Committees in the Chamber. Committee members attend ribbon cuttings, Business After Hours and Membership Luncheons. They reach out to new members, welcoming them to the Chamber and encouraging them to become involved in Chamber activities. Once Dana joined the Chamber, she became active wherever she could and joined the Ambassador committee. She has a deep belief in giving back to the community and shows it through her commitment in giving of her time.
