July 9 at Howdershell Park

“Come hungry, leave happy” is the theme of Hazelwood’s next Food Truck Night on Tuesday, July 9, at Howdershell Park, 6810 Howdershell Road, from 5-8 p.m. Enjoy a summer evening in the park with family and friends while eating delicious food and listening to great music performed by The South Side Johnny Band! Admission is free and open to the public.

Participating food trucks include Locos Tacos, StLouisianaQ, Essentially Fries, Angie Burger, Scoops & More, and STL Funnel Cakes & Kettle Corn. Attendees will be able to purchase their menu selections, ice cream, kettle corn and funnel cakes from 5-8 p.m., or until the food runs out. A beverage tent will be set up as well for serving adult beverages.

Live entertainment by The South Side Johnny Band will be from 6-8 p.m. According to a local music critic, “When you want to keep things lively, Ssjband pumps out more energy than a Fourth of July fireworks show. There’s no limit to how much dancing you will do and fun you will have as they ramp up the energy, delivering hit after hit to everyone’s delight.” The band puts on shows that include the top dance hits of today as well as a variety of pop, country, Motown and classic rock from yesteryear.

Remember to bring non-perishable food items for donations to T.E.A.M. Food Pantry, which will have a booth on-site. A gift basket will be raffled off for those who want to participate. Raffle ticket prices are 1 for $2, 3 for $5, and 7 for $10.
