One in three adults age 65 years or older fall each year. A growing number of older adults have a fear of falling, and this fear limits their activities, social engagements and physical activity. As a result, older adults may experience reduced mobility, depression, social isolation, feelings of helplessness and loss of functional fitness, which increases actual risk of falling.
Tai chi for Arthritis for Fall Prevention is evidence-based, and according to medical studies, has been proven to enhance the health of older adults. The goals of this program include improving balance, strength, flexibility and stamina, improving relaxation, vitality, posture and immunity, increasing functional fitness and creating a sense of achievement. Beautiful-The Carol King Musical Runs March 12-17
Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced the North American tour of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning hit musical Beautiful- The Carole King Musical, which welcomes Dylan S. Wallach (Gerry Goffin) and Alison Whitehurst (Cynthia Weil). The two artists join Sarah Bockel (Carole King), Jacob Heimer (Barry Mann), James Clow (Don Kirshner) and Suzanne Grodner (Genie Klein). Beautiful – The Carole King Musical will return to St. Louis at the Fabulous Fox Theatre on March 12, for a limited engagement through March 17.
Long before she was Carole King, chart-topping music legend, she was Carol Klein, Brooklyn girl with passion and chutzpah. She fought her way into the record business as a teenager and, by the time she reached her twenties, had the husband of her dreams and a flourishing career writing hits for the biggest acts in rock ‘n’ roll. But it wasn’t until her personal life began to crack that she finally managed to find her true voice. Beautiful tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Along the way, she made more than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation. Beautiful features a stunning array of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil, including “I Feel The Earth Move,” “One Fine Day,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “You’ve Got A Friend” and the title song.
“I am thrilled that Beautiful continues to delight and entertain audiences around the globe, in England, Japan and Australia and that we are entering our fourth amazing year of touring the U.S.,” producer Paul Blake said.

‘Superpower Dogs’ Opens at Science Center March 15
The latest IMAX documentary from IMAX Entertainment, Cosmic Picture and presenting sponsor Mars Petcare, Superpower Dogs, will open at the Saint Louis Science Center’s OMNIMAX Theater on March 15. From the filmmakers behind the acclaimed documentaries “Jerusalem” and “Journey to Mecca”, “Superpower Dogs” takes audiences on an immersive IMAX® adventure to experience the life-saving superpowers and extraordinary bravery of some of the world’s most amazing dogs. The film is narrated by Chris Evans (Captain America: The First Avenger, ‘Gifted’).
“Superpower Dogs” follows six real-life working dogs from around the world as well as their human partners as they brave earthquakes and avalanches, protect endangered species such as rhinos and elephants and transform the lives of people with special needs.
Audiences will discover the amazing abilities of different breeds and the astonishing science behind their superpowers. We’ll never look at our best friends the same way again! Meet the stars of “Superpower Dogs” here:
‘Halo’, a rookie puppy training to join one of the most elite disaster response teams in America;
‘Henry’, an avalanche rescue expert saving lives in the mountains of British Columbia;
‘Reef’, a Newfoundland lifeguard in the Italian Coast Guard;
‘Ricochet’, a surf and therapy legend in California who heals people with special needs;
‘Tipper and Tony’, Bloodhound brothers leading the fight to save endangered species in Africa.
“I am really happy to be part of Superpower Dogs,” said Evans. “I am a proud dog owner and completely understand the connection that humans have with these remarkable animals. I love the way this film highlights incredible working dogs who utilize their real-life superpowers to help and protect people.”
On March 14, the Science Center will debut the film to members at a special screening. In addition, the public will have the opportunity to meet Henry, one of the dogs featured in the film, at a dinner and a movie event on April 4. The event is ticketed and will include a screening of the film, dinner, two drink tickets, presentation from one of the film makers and entertainment. It is part of the OMNIMAX Dinner Series launched in 2019.
“We are so proud to share the message of Superpower Dogs with museums and science centers across the country,” said Daniel Ferguson, Writer/Director of “Superpower Dogs.”
“In addition to entertaining audiences with this grand IMAX film, we hope to highlight the important work that dogs do and we hope it helps everyone appreciate the reciprocal support that we share with these animals. They need us as much as we need them.”
