Three Promotions Announced by . . .

Mayor Tim Lowery and Chief of Police Tim Fagan announced the three recent promotions within the Florissant Police Department. These promotions were necessary after the recent appointment of Tim Fagan to Chief of Police.

Lieutenant Dennis Dehart was promoted to the rank of Captain, Detective Sergeant Mark Pounders was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and Detective Joseph Monahan was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Captain Dennis Dehart will remain Commander of the Bureau of Investigations. Captain Dehart joined the Florissant Police Department on December 4, 2000. Lieutenant Mark Pounders was assigned as one of the supervisors in the Bureau of Investigations as a Detective Sergeant and will now be assigned to the Bureau of Field Operations.

Lieutenant Mark Pounders joined the Florissant Police Department on December 13, 2005. Sergeant Joseph Monahan was assigned to the Bureau of Investigations as a Detective and will remain in the Bureau of Investigations as one of the supervisors having the role as Detective Sergeant. Detective Sergeant Joseph Monahan joined the Florissant Police Department on May 31, 2010.

These men have outstanding leadership qualities and professional skills that will contribute to the continued success of our award winning police department in keeping our citizens and their property safe,” adds Mayor Lowery.
