The 4th Annual Tour de Florissant is racing back into town on Labor Day, serving as the thrilling final leg of the prestigious 2026 Bommarito Audi West County Gateway Cup. This high-energy cycling event will take over Historic Old Town Florissant on Monday, Sept. 7, drawing in professional cyclists, fans, and families from across the country and even international participants as well.
Hosted in partnership with Big Shark Bicycle Company, the City of Florissant is excited to once again welcome this elite competition. The Gateway Cup spans four days over Labor Day weekend, bringing thousands of athletes and an estimated 30,000 to 40,000 spectators across four iconic St. Louis neighborhoods, with Florissant providing the grand finale.Tour De Flor Press Release

But the excitement doesn’t stop at the finish line.
Fun at Every Turn in Old Town
Throughout Old Town Florissant, spectators can enjoy “fun at every turn” with local favorites\ getting in on the action:

All three beloved businesses will be open and participating in food and beverage sales, offering refreshments and Florissant’s signature hospitality to fans and families enjoying the day. There will also be a vending area at the start/finish line across from Florissant City Hall with more food and beverage options.
Mayor Tim Lowery shared, “We’re thrilled to host this electrifying event onccagain in our historic district. It’s more than just a race, it’s a celebration of community, wellness, and local pride.”
In a show of community support and purpose, the Florissant Government Building will host Pedal in Place at the Race, a special Parkinson’s Disease fundraiser taking place during the event. This\ will be placed on the first turn, so if you participate, you won’t have to miss out on the action!
Community members are invited to come cheer, cycle on stationary bikes, and contribute to a meaningful cause while the race unfolds nearby.
