Mayor Schneider is pleased to announce that Todd Hughes has been selected as the City of Florissant’s new Director of Public Works. Todd has over twenty years of engineering experience working most recently as a Project Manager for the City of St. Charles, and served formerly as the Assistant Director of Public Works with the City of Webster Groves. Todd holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri, St. Louis/Washington University. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).

Louis Jearls, P.E retired as Director of Public Works and Health effective, May 31, 2018 after serving the City for over thirty-five years setting high standards of infrastructure maintenance with city forces and contractors and implemented a strong code enforcement team and vector control team to assist in the health and safety of our residents and maintain property values.

The Mayor would like to thank Lou for his many valuable years of service and also for his willingness to stay on as a consultant during the transition to and indoctrination of the new Director.

The Mayor is looking forward to working with Mr. Hughes and is grateful to Mr. Jearls Lou for his dedication to his staff, employees and the residents of the City of Florissant. Lou will be missed but as a Florissant Resident who loves our gatherings we will not have to say Good Bye and we wish him the very best in his retirement.
