The American National Eagles 18 and under baseball team, member of the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association since 1988 and in their 30th season, is off to a 3-5 start (0-3 in the Northwest Division) prior to the June 27 game against the JC Blazers at the Hazelwood Sports Complex, Aubuchon and Teson Roads.

The three wins so far are against Illinois 17 and under teams including Collinsville, 17-2 on June 7, Triad, 10-0 on June 8, and Belleville East, 14-9 on June 22. The Eagles also lost to a pair of Illinois 17 and under teams including Waterloo, 9-8 on June 6, and O’Fallon, Ill., 10-7 on June 25. Hughes Ballpark), O’Fallon, Mo., and 10-8 June 21 at Hazelwood Sports Complex — and one to the St. Charles Capitals, 11-4 May 30 at C & H Ballpark, St. Peters.

American National 18 and under was to play the Southwest Stars 18 and under June 14 at the Principia but there were no results, possibly a rain out.
