So if St. Louis sports don’t drive you crazy enough, the St. Louis Blues are giving everybody a nervous breakdown. It’s so hard to watch this team play right now against the Nashville predators after they played so well in the first round against Minnesota.

The first game of the series the Blues were so outclassed it was ridiculous. The Blues look like a minor-league team being schooled by a bunch of adults.

The Blues could not keep up

with the pace of the game with the Predators. They were bigger stronger and faster and it showed.

Honestly I think the team got a bit lucky in game two when they tied the series up. They were still out played but managed to play just good enough to win. As the series went back to Nashville, you knew that the momentum would be all with the Predators and it was as they once again outplayed the Blues all over the ice in game three.

As you read this column he will already know what happen in game four and maybe game five and I hope that it’s a positive outcome.

I talked about this before. The team made the playoffs, but playoff hockey is totally different only the strong survive. Maybe the Blues just don’t have enough in their arsenal to be one of those top tier teams. We have several players who are very strong but I am not sure we have enough of those players to make a difference.

I certainly hope I am wrong and as you read this the Blues are up in the series and we’re all happy once again. Think about where this team would be at without players like Tarasenko. This would be a completely different team. This guy produces both on offense and will give himself up on defense.

I know the fans here in St. Louis are very passionate but all the announcers can talk about on TV is how passionate the Nashville fans are. No matter who wins the series it’s been a great one and the Blues had a great ride this year.

Hopefully next week’s column i will be talking about us moving onto the next round. Only time will tell and only the strong survive. Let’s go Blues

We all Knew Earnhardt would be Retiring

Now on to some NASCAR news, it’s hard to believe that Dale Earnhardt Junior is going to retire at the end of the season. The news just came out last week and even though everybody kind of knew it was going to happen, but no this quickly. What a blow that NASCAR will take with him being out of the sport.

Whether you love him or hate him Earnhardt was a mainstay and crowd favorite no matter where you went. The number 88 will live on forever just like the number three of his dad. It is really cool to see the outpouring of love from the fans as he starts his farewell tour that started this past weekend.

Hopefully it will not be a trend of things to come as he was knocked out of the race on an accident with his teammate Jimmy Johnson. To all the NASCAR and Dale Jr. Fans. It’s been a good ride and a lot of great memories.
