Florissant First Responders Recognized for Saving Lives from Recent House Fire

Flovalley fire protection logo   On Wednesday, March 1 at 11 a.m., Mark Flauter, Deputy Chief of the Florissant Valley Fire Protection accepted $10,000 from ADT Senior Vice President, Joe Nuccio, and State Farm agent Elveeta Mason, for the aid given during a fire at Florissant homeowner Tabitha Taylor’s house.

It was a horrifying sight as Taylor and her family awoke to find a fire in their Florissant home. Tabitha activated the home’s security system, which alerted first responders. They quickly arrived and battled the blaze. While the home was damaged, it was not burned to the ground and many irreplaceable possessions were spared, along with Tabitha’s life and the lives of her children.

Taylor wants to publicly thank first responders for their live-saving work. Since she is both an ADT and State Farm® customer, both companies will contribute a combined $10,000 to the Florissant Valley Fire Protection District during an emotional reunion as Tabitha meets her rescuers for the first time since the incident.

The recording of the dramatic 911 call will be played before the emotional reunion with first responders and then $10,000 will be awarded to the Florissant Fire Department.

The public is welcome to attend at the Taylor home, 1625 Emerald Creek Dr., Florissant, MO.
