Ferguson Holds Northern Lights Parade And Holiday Festivities Sunday, Nov. 29

Ferguson kicks off the holiday season with a festive market for shopping and Lighted Parade each year the Sunday after Thanksgiving. This year the parade and market will be held Nov. 29 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Victorial Plaza.

The event allows the whole family to shop for unique gifts and crafts, enjoy free cookies, hot chocolate and music, take part in kids crafts and entertainment and warm up around a toasty bonfire. Kids will enjoy a special appearance from Santa. Everyone will gather to see the giant Christmas tree light up the night sky.

The schedule of events is as follows:

   2-7 p.m.   Holiday market

   3-6 p.m.   Kid’s activities: free trackless train rides, story time with Mrs. Claus, gingerbread house decorating, face painting, balloon creations and holiday entertainment

   5 p.m.     Lighted Holiday Parade on S. Florissant Rd.

5:30 p.m. Free cookies & hot chocolate

   6 p.m.     Tree lighting ceremony
