During a very popular Dining Divas at Element STL, a few of the ladies suggested we get together again for another palette painting party, and I was happy to oblige.

First, we started off with dinner from HWY 67 BBQ, the new bar-be-cue place on Lindbergh and Florissant Road. We are always happy to support local small businesses, and this night was no different. I’d seen comments online about the place, and I couldn’t help but get a whiff of the smoke driving by daily so I was eager to try it out.

From the remarks the Divas made, I’d say everyone was pleased. The Turkey Ribs were meaty and delicious, and virtually guilt free for the Calorie-Watching Diva. The Pulled Pork Sandwich was the “best BBQ I’ve had in a long time.” The sauce was great as well, even for the Picky Diva who has a hard time finding sauce that she really likes. The Beef Brisket Sandwich with potato salad was delicious according to the Straight-Forward Diva, and the Pork Steak was good

with or without BBQ sauce. Plus, a few of the ladies enjoyed the burgers they had.

For the crafty side of the evening, we enlisted the services of Jessica from Mommy’s DeSign Farm, another local small business. What an enjoyable time we had creating Halloween and Fall signs as well as several other beautiful palettes! It’s always fun to have a private party, but if you’re ever looking to just participate on your own, Jessica now has a shop in Florissant on St. Catherine by the water tower and tennis courts. Check it out.

It was a beautiful fall evening (warm for the time of year), and as usual, the ladies loved our night hanging out together, even with a male crasher who participated this night. Trust me, this palette class has many cool options for men out there. And for us, it’s good to have the comfort of friends (female and male) surrounding us and those in the group going through uncomfortable situations at the time. A little bit of food, a lot of laughter, and time to make amazing creations. Another perfect Dining Diva night.
