I-270 Bridge Renovations in North County are Complete

The New Florissant Road and New Halls Ferry bridge renovations are now complete. All traffic lanes have returned to I-270 and traffic signals under the highway have been set back to original programming.

The bridges were originally built in the 1960s and were previously classified as structurally deficient. This construction project replaced the driving surface with a new structural overlay. This work is not a permanent fix but a practical solution that extends the usable life of the bridges until funding becomes available for a full replacement.

Additional work will continue over the next few weeks.  The slip ramp at Pershall will be removed this week and Pershall will be reopened.  MoDot has announced that some adjustments to inlets in the median of I-270 and they replace the temporary barrier with permanent barrier.   All remaining work should have minimal impact to traffic.
