Contest to Urge Recycling

Residents living in the City of Hazelwood could win a prize by simply bringing their single-stream recycling bin to the curb on their designated pick-up day during the “Put Out Your Bin to Win” contest hosted by Republic Services, which is the parent company of Allied Waste Services.

Every week between now and November, one household in the City of Hazelwood will be randomly selected. If Republic Services finds that the selected home brought out its recyling bin with recyclables in it, the residents living there can win a $25 gift card. That’s 24 winners and $600 in prize money given away! (These gift cards are being funded by means of a grant.)

If the selected home does not have its curbside recycling bin out, Republic Services will move on and check the next homes on the route until a winner is found.

There’s nothing to fill out to enter – every Hazelwood household with a curbside recycling bin is eligible.
