Florissant Police Open House, Building Dedication Set May 17

The Florissant Police will be hosting an “Open House” on Saturday, May 17 from 10-2  at the  police department facility  at 1700 North Highway 67. Immediately following the Open House, a building dedication to former Police Chief and Mayor Robert G. Lowery Sr is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. on the front parking lot of the police station.

Tours of the facility will be provided. Department equipment utilized by the various bureaus will be on display.

Some the equipment on display will be patrol vehicles, prisoner conveyance van, D.A.R.E. vehicle, Evidence Technician Unit truck, radar trailers, Traffic Safety vehicles, evidence processing equipment, communications and 9-1-1 system, prisoner processing and holdover area, training room, and other department equipment.

K-9 demonstrations have been scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Parking will be available at the Atonement Lutheran Church, 1285 North New Florissant Road. A shuttle bus will be provided to transport the visitors to the police station.
