4 Ferguson-Florissant Schools Earn State Honors

Four schools in the Ferguson-Florissant School District have been recognized by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for exemplary implementation of Positive Behavior Support methods.

The Positive Behavior Support system provides a clear set of positive expectations and behaviors, along with a common approach to discipline. The goal is discouraging inappropriate behavior and motivating positive behavior. Applicants for recognition must demonstrate that they consistently meet established criteria.

The Ferguson-Florissant School District schools that will be honored by the state in June are:

oHalls Ferry Elementary School, silver level, Principal Lisa Hazel

o Bermuda Elementary School, bronze level, Principal Alice Aldridge

o Central Elementary School, bronze level, Principal Ron Stedman

o Lee-Hamilton Elementary School, bronze level, Principal Kathy Steinmann
