North County Christian School is not a member of the Missouri State High School Activities Association but their Girls Volleyball team is enjoying an unbelievable 36-7-2 season prior to the TRCAA tournament, which took place this past Monday and Tuesday.
NCCS won seven straight matches Sept. 29-30 in a Columbia, Mo. Tournament. NCCS will be competing in the Missouri Christian State Tournament, Oct. 26-28 in Joplin, Mo.
“I’m really excited about it,” said NCCS fourth-year head coach Janice Bolton following two matches played in an O’Fallon, Mo. Christian High School. “This is the best team I’ve ever had.” Bolton mentions Lauren Bolton, Angie Stine, Susan Linn and Patricia Meyers as the team statistical leaders.
MSHSAA District Girls Volleyball begins Monday and lasts through Thursday. Dates, Seeding and Parings are not available at press time.
Incarnate Word Academy begins their run for a fourth straight MSHSAA Class Four State Girls Volleyball Championship when they compete in District Five at Parkway West.
Meanwhile McCluer hosts Class Four, District Six with Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East, Hazelwood West, McCluer North and Riverview in the field. Winners from Districts Five and Six play Oct. 28, 3 p.m. at Pattonville High.
Trinity Catholic hosts Class Three, District Five with Cardinal Ritter, Jennings, Lutheran North Miller Career Academy and Soldan in the field. That district winner plays the District Six winner Oct. 28, 3 p.m. in Warrenton.
CROSS COUNTRY — McCluer North hosts Class Four, District Four Saturday with Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East, Hazelwood West, McCluer, Patttonville, Parkway North, Ritenour and Riverview Gardens in the field. The top four teams and runners from other teams that finish in the top 30 will compete Oct. 28 in Sectional Two at Forest Park-Central Fields.
On Oct. 28 McCluer South Berkeley will be in Class Three, District Three at McNair Park, St. Charles while Spanish Lake Park will host Class Two, District Two with Lutheran North and Cardinal Ritter in the field.
