Gary Dammer Memorial Day Salute at Civic Center

The Florissant Fine Arts Council will present the Big Band Patriotic Salute on  Monday, May 28 at 7 p.m.

The Arts Council and the City of Florissant continue the series of Big Band Concerts, featuring Gary Dammer on trumpet, and 17 of the St. Louis area’s finest musicians in their annual Memorial Day Patriotic Salute. An evening with Gary Dammer’s big band is an evening of big American hits and themes from American songbook. He has played in and around the St. Louis area since his high school days. In 1956 he formed his first Big Band.

Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for seniors and students.  (Our print edition of the Independent News for May 24 incorrectly listed prices as $27 for adults, $25 seniors/students)
