Nominations Sought for Florissant Veteran of the Year
Florissant is seeking nominations for Florissant Veteran of the Year. Nomination forms may be picked up at Florissant City Hall, James J. Eagan Center, JFK Center or local veterans organizations. Completed forms must be received no later than Aug. 15.
Send to: Florissant Veteran of the Year, c/o Florissant City Hall, 955 rue St. Francois, Florissant, Mo. 63031.
The following requirements must be met to qualify:
o Honorable discharge (must be verified by selection committee)
o Meet definition of “veteran” established by U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
o Continued service to veterans or community
o Current resident of Florissant or have been a resident during the year of nomination
o Nominations will be retained for three years. Anyone not selected after three years will require a new nomination
