District Boys Golf Tourneys April 24-25

High School Boys Golf District Tournaments involving area high schools will be taking place April 24-25. Each team can send as many as five golfers to district competition. A minimum of four is required for team scoring. The top two teams and top 15 golfers from the teams finishing third or lower at the district tournaments will advance to sectional play May 2-3, and teams finishing lower than second that send four or five to sectionals qualify for team scoring.

The State championships will take place at four different golf courses May14-15. The top two teams from each sectional meet and the top 12 golfers from teams that did not finish in the top two qualify for state, and the teams that finish lower second send four or five golfers to state qualify for team scoring.

In Class Four area high schools will be competing May 24, 8 a.m. in the District Three Tournament at Whitmore Country Club, a par-71 course in St. Charles County. This will feed into Sectional Two, May 2, 9 a.m. at Innsbrook Golf Course, a par-71 course in Wright City, and into state at Silo Ridge Golf Club, a par-72 course in Bolivar.

Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East, Hazelwood West, McCluer North and McCluer will compete in Class Four, District Three against Chaminade, DeSmet, Normandy, Parkway Central, Parkway North, Pattonville and Ritenour.

In Class Three Lutheran North will compete May 25, 9 a.m. in District Three against Affton, Bishop DuBourg, Clayton, John Burroughs, Lutheran South, Mary Institute-Country Day School, Priory, St. Mary’s University City and Westminster Christian Academy at Forest Park Golf Course, a par-70 course in St. Louis. Also in Class Three, Trinity Catholic will compete in District Four, April 25m 10 a.m. at Heritage Hills Golf Course, in Moberly, against Duchesne, Hannibal, Kirksville, Mexico, Moberly, Mexico, St. Charles High, St. Charles West, St. Dominic, Warrenton and Winfield.

Districts Three and Four in Class Three, feed into Sectional Two, May 3 at Innsbrook Golf Course, Wright City and to State at Rivercut Golf Club, a par-72 course in Springfield, Mo.
