Hazelwood Central Hosts Class 4 Softball

Hazelwood Central High School is one of 16 high schools to host Class Four District Girls Softball, 48 overall in all four districts, which is to begin on Thursday but some may have started Wednesday.

Districts are to finish this Saturday, weather permitting and the district champions will advance to the sectional round next Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Hazelwood Central will host Class Four, District Seven. Beaumont, Hazelwood East, McCluer North, McCluer and Riverview Gardens will be in this tournament. Seedings and parings are not available at press time.

The Class Four, District Seven winner will play the winner of Class Four, District Eight Oct. 10, reportedly by the Missouri State High School Activities Association to be at Hazelwood West High. Class Four, District Eight, to be played at C & H Ballpark, St. Peters, includes Hazelwood West and Suburban North Conference leader Pattonville.
Incarnate Word Academy, Metro Women’s Athletic Association Division I champions, will host a Class Four, District Six game Friday, 4:15, against a team to be determined. Parkway Central is the Class Four, District Six host and the winner plays Oct. 10 against the Class Four, District Five winner at Rockwood-Marquette, Chesterfield.

Lutheran North will host Class Three, District Six and will host Soldan International Studies, Thursday, 4:15. In another Class Three, District Six game Trinity Catholic will host a 4:15 game Friday against an opponent to be determined. The Class Three, District Six winner will play the Class Five, District Five winner Oct. 10 at St. Charles West.
