Relay For Life ’07

North County Relay For Life was off to a rousing start Aug. 3 before an expected storm dampened and cancelled the remaining hours of the relay shortly after 9 p.m.
The crowd was smaller than past years, perhap because of the extreme heat that evening that eventually prompted to down-pour.

Survivors were welcomed with a new approach to the track for the annual Survivor’s Walk that opens the event. Cancer survivors walked through a Fight Cancer sword walkway to enter the track at Hazelwoo Central High School..
