Electronic Recycling Drive March 19 at St. Ferdinand Park

Florissant will hold an Electronics Recycling Drive on Saturday, March 19, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at St. Ferdinand Park.

An agreement was reached in a meeting  with the mayor, Louis Jearls, Jr., director of Public Works, and Lewis Chartock, resident and CEO of MERS Goodwill, to set up a recycling drive.

Acceptable items to be collected are:

• computers and all of their accessories

• networking and telecommunications equipment, phones (home and cell) and clocks

• TV’s, VCR’s, DVD players, stereos, A/V equipment include cable and satellite boxes

• home electronics and appliances

• any item with a gasoline engine, motor or a battery.

On Saturday, March 19 at St. Ferdinand Park, MERS Goodwill will have heavy duty equipment and 50 men and women on hand to assist in the drop off process. You may also request a receipt to be used for a tax deduction as a donation to 501C Mers Goodwill. This services is free and you do not have to sort your items.
