Recently paroled, young Percy heads to a town she saw in an old travel book to start a new life and gets a job at the only eatery in the now-struggling town. The gruff owner, Hannah, has been trying to sell the grill for years. Percy’s suggestion to sell it through a raffle and essay contest brings hope to the town and reminds the residents of the paradise they’ve taken for granted.

Add in lush, folk harmonies and this musical is an inspiring celebration of new beginnings and the power of what one person can do.

The Spitfire Grill is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French; music and book by James Valcq, lyrics and book by Fred Alley, based on the film by Lee David Zlotoff.
