Incarnate Word Soccer Shutout, Win Streak Ends at 15 Games

For the first 15 Girls Soccer Games Incarnate Word Academy had outscored the opposition 46-0.
Last Saturday Morning in the Burlington (Iowa) Tournament Incarnate Word allowed the first goal of the season by an opponent. West Des Moines Valley (Iowa) scored twice to win 2-1 in a shootout and dealing IWA their first loss of the season. Later that Day St. Thomas Aquinas (Kansas) scored against IWA but IWA scored in the second minute of overtime to win 2-1.
IWA is 16-1 overall, 1-0 in the Midwest Women’s Athletic Association White Division, prior to May 30, and has outscored the opposition 49-3. IWA was to host Nerinx Hall April 30 and Nerinx Hall is 3-0 in the MWAA White, 15-1 overall and has outscored the opposition 59-10. Incarnate has dealt Nerinx their only loss, 1-0 in the IWA Red Knight Invitational on March 30.
NORTH COUNTY CHRISTIAN, the only area school that is not a member of the Missouri State High School Activities Association, is getting ready for post-season play after enjoying a 9-3-2 season, 4-1-2 in the Twin Rivers Christian Athletic Association and outscored the opposition 32-8. Their only losses were to TRCAA Champion St. Charles Christian (based in O’Fallon, Mo.) and their ties were scoreless (against St. Charles Christian and Tower Grove Christian).
SUBURBAN NORTH CONFERENCE — Four teams are battling for the top of the Suburban North.
HAZELWOOD CENTRAL — Prior to April 30 Hazelwood Central has a 9-6-2 record, 5-0 in the Suburban North and Central has outscored their opponents, 50-16. The two ties were in the season-opening Bi-State Shootout. Hazelwood Central has defeated McCluer and Hazelwood West, lost to Pattonville and hosts McCluer on May 11.
PATTONVILLE — Prior to April 30 Pattonville has a 14-4-1 record and is 3-0 in the Suburban North. Pattonville has won the Suburban North Tournament and was second to Rockwood-Summit in the Jefferson City Tournament. Pattonville has defeated Hazelwood West twice and defeated Hazelwood Central, 5-1 in the Suburban North Tournament Semifinals. Pattonville hosted Hazelwood Central on May 2.
McCLUER — Prior to April 30 McCluer is 9-7 overall but in the Suburban North McCluer is 3-1. McCluer has two wins over Riverview Gardens, outscoring them 21-1, has defeated McCluer North while losing to Hazelwood West and Hazelwood Central. McCluer visits Pattonville May 9 and Hazelwood Central May 11.
HAZELWOOD WEST — Prior to April 30 Hazelwood West is 10-4-4 but is 3-2 overall. Hazelwood West played to three ties in the Bi-State Shootout (Francis Howell North, Belleville (Ill.) Althoff and Cor Jesu) and played to a scoreless tie in Jefferson City. Hazelwood West has outscored Hazelwood East 21-0 in two West wins, has wins over McCluer North, McCluer, Fort Zumwalt South and Trinity while losing to Pattonville (twice), Hazelwood Central and IWA.
