Bob Aubuchon is Northwest Chamber of Commerce’s 2010 Volunteer of the Year

Bob Aubuchon receives the Northwest Chamber of Commerce’s Betty O’Keefe Volunteer of the Year award from Larry Perney, president and CEO, Northwest Chamber of Commerce.

Hazelwood Ward 2 Councilman Bob Aubuchon is the recipient of the Northwest Chamber’s 2010 Bette O’Keefe Volunteer of the Year award.  He was presented with this honor recently at the Northwest Chamber’s 2011 Annual Meeting Installation & Awards Ceremony held at Harrah’s Casino and Hotel.

A retired firefighter from the Pattonville Fire District Aubuchon currently serves on the Hazelwood City Council as the councilman for Ward 2.  He was first elected to the City Council on April 1, 1997, and has served his constituents for the past 13 years.  Aubuchon is up for re-election on April 5, 2011.

In addition to serving on the Northwest Chamber Board of Directors for the past two years, Aubuchon is an active participant in Northwest  Chamber events.  He is involved in the following Chamber committees:  Ambassador & Membership; Casino Night; Government & Community Concerns; Chamber Golf Classic; Chili-Dog Golf Tournament; and co-chair of the Mingle at the Mills which is a fund-raiser for the Chamber’s Scholarship Fund for six area high schools.

Aubuchon is also credited for starting The Biggest Loser program and the King of Wings competition for the Mingle at the Mills event at St. Louis Mills.  Plus, he has recruited many new members for the Chamber and brought in additional Scholarship Fund dollars as well.
