2019-2020 Prep Season Starts Aug. 30

Missouri State High School Activities Association members begin practicing for the fall, 2019 season the Monday of Week Six, Aug. 12 and those students who are participating must have a physical taken and sent to their school.
The fall, ‘19 season starts Aug. 30 with pre-season Jamborees in Football, Boys Soccer, Fall Softball, Field Hockey and Girls Volleyball (three or four team scrimmages) take place 10 days after Practices begin. Class and District assignments for Girls Golf, Boys Soccer, Fall Softball, Boys Swimming and Diving (no districts), Girls Tennis, Girls Volleyball and Football will be made Aug. 23 while Cross Country Districts will be made Sept. 13. Fall Sports closes Dec. 7 with the State Football Championships for Classes One, Three and Five.
WINTER 2019-2020 practices begin Monday of Week 18, Nov. 4, for Basketball, Wrestling, and Nov. 11 for Girls Swimming. Jamborees for Basketball begin No Earlier than Nov. 14 while the Basketball and Wrestling begin their seasons no earlier than Nov. 22. Girls Swimming and Diving can start their season no earlier than Nov. 29, the day after Thanksgiving.
Class and District Assignments are Nov. 15 for Basketball and Boys Wrestling, Nov. 22 (no districts) for Girls Swimming and Diving and Dec. 13 for Girls Wrestling. The Winter ‘19-’20 season ends March 21 with Classes Four and/or Five Basketball.
SPRING 2020 practices begin the Monday of Week 35, March 2, although Boys Lacrosse, a club sport, would start in med-to-late February. Jamborees for Baseball, Girls Soccer, Spring Softball, Lacrosse and Boys Volleyball can take place 10 days after practices begin. The spring ‘20 season starts March 20 but Boys Lacrosse starts earlie, probably around the beginning of March.
Class and District assignments for Baseball, Boys Golf, Boys Tennis, Girls Soccer, Spring Softball and Track and Field will be March 13, 2020. District and or other post-season assignment dates for Lacrosse and Boys Volleyball have no set date. Spring Sports closes the ‘19-‘20 season June 6 with Classes Three and Four Girls State Soccer and Class Four State Baseball.
NORTH COUNTY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, a Missouri Christian Schools Athletic Association member, begins fall practices Aug. 12 and begins the fall season on Aug. 23. MCSAA State Tournaments, in Joplin, Mo., Are Oct. 24-26 for fall sports, Feb. 13-15, 2020, for winter sports and April 30-May 2, 2020 for spring sports. NCCS is an MSHSAA affiliated registered school.
DISTRICTS-STATE — Girls Golf districts begin Oct. 7 and end with State on Oct. 21-22. Girls Tennis districts begin Oct. 7 and end with state Oct. 24-26. Fall Softball districts begin Oct. 16 and end with state Nov. 1-2. Girls Volleyball begins districts Oct. 28 and end with state Nov. 8-9.
Boys Swimming and Diving qualifying for state is Aug. 30-Nov. 6 and the State Championships are Nov. 14-16. Cross Country districts are Oct. 26 (Class Four) and Nov. 2 (Classes One-Two-Three) and the State Championships are Nov.9. Boys Soccer districts begin Nov. 2 and end with State Nov. 22-23. Football districts begin Nov. 2 and end with State Nov. 30 (Eight Man and Class Six), Dec 6 (Classes Two and Four) and Dec. 7 (Classes One, Three and Five).
Girls Swimming and Diving qualifying for state is Nov. 29, 2019- Feb. 12, 2020 and the state championships are Feb. 20-22., 2020 Wrestling districts are Feb. 8 (Girls) and Feb. 14-15 (Boys) and the state Championships are Feb. 20-22, 2020. Basketball districts begin Feb. 22, 2020 (Classes One-Two-Three) and Feb. 29 (Classes Four-Five) and ends with state, March 12-14 (Classes One-Two-Three) and March 19[-21 (Classes Four-Five).
Boys Golf Districts begin May 4 and end with State May 18-19, Track and Field begins with districts May 9 (Classes One-Two) and May 16 (Classes Three-Four-Five) and end with state May 22-23 (Classes One-Two) and May 29-30 (Classes Three-Four-Five). Boys Tennis begins with districts May 11 and end with State May 28-30. Baseball begins with districts May 15 and end with State June 1-6. Girls Soccer districts begin May 16 and ends with state June 3-4 (Classes One-Two) and June 5-6 (Classes Three-Four).
