Florissant Has Extra Skating

Hours During the Holidays

The Florissant Parks and Recreation Department ice skating rink will be open extra hours during the holiday season.  The rink will be open between 2 and 4 p.m. on the following dates on Dec. 22, 23, 27,28, 29, 30. Friday,  Dec 31 is appreciation skate day free for Florissant residents

Children eight years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.  Ice skates are available to rent for $1.50     Skating admission fees:

Free Resident Ice Skating, Dec. 31

Florissant is hosting a free skate session for residents on Friday, Dec. 31, from 2-4 p.m., at the James J. Eagan Center Ice Rink.

Non-residents are welcome by paying the non-resident rate. Residents must bring their current ID card to get in for free.  For information call the James J. Eagan Center at 921-4466.

Youth Ice Skating Lessons Offered

Florissant Parks is offering ice skating lessons for children. The classes will be divided into two age groups: Kiddy lessons, for 3-5 year olds, 8:30-9:15 a.m., Beginner’s lessons, for age six and older, 9:25-10:10 a.m., and Advanced Beginner lessons, 10:20-11:15 a.m.

Session dates are Dec. 26, 28-31 and on Saturdays, Jan. 2-30. Fees are $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents. Skate rental is $1.50. For more information, call 921-4466 or 921-4470.
