Historic Florissant, Inc. will host its 35th annual Christmas Tour on Sunday, Nov. 28, from 2-6 p.m.
Among the homes that will be open is the Millman House at 693 N. Lafayette, built in 1887, home of Dr. John Millman and his bride, Frances Goldbeck. Their two daughters, Esther and Rosalie, never married and remained in the house until the 1960s.
Another building on the tour will be the Wiethaupt General Store, now the home of Dooley’s Florist, at the corner of rue St. Francois and Lafayette. The store was purchased by Steven Wiethaupt in 1884 then passed down to his son, John Wiethaupt in 1893. John Wiethaupt, a Judge for St. Louis County, was married to Emma Goldbeck, one of Mrs. Millman’s sisters.

The other commercial buildings on tour are Hendel’s Market Café, Stems Florist in the 1885 Albers Building, the Gittemeier House on Dunn Road, the St. Stanislaus Historical Museum and the Union Church.
