Hazelwood’s Holiday Craft Bazaar Benefits Vendors and Shoppers

Vendors who create handcraft originals are gearing up to participate in this year’s Holiday Craft Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The Hazelwood Parks and Recreation Division will host this event at the Hazelwood Community Center, located at 1186 Teson Road in White Birch Park.

Vendors participating in this year’s Holiday Craft Bazaar will offer unique hand-crafted items that make the perfect gift for even the most difficult person to shop for.  Many of them range from crocheted clothing like sweaters, scarves, mittens and vests to hobby-related items such as holiday decorations and jewelry pieces.

Crafters from all over the North County area gather for this yearly event.  Chris Rayfield of Florissant, has been a Holiday Craft Bazaar vendor for at least 15 years.  Her booth will feature hand-crafted dolls, holiday ornaments and wreaths, as well as light-up jar snowmen.

“The atmosphere has always been good every year I’ve participated in the Holiday Craft Bazaar,” said Chris Rayfield.  “I’ve managed to break-even and often do well selling my crafts.  The event organizers are great to work with – they’re good people.”

Booth spaces are still available for vendors interested in participating this year.  Registration fees are $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents.  To download an application form, go to event article posted on the City’s website at www.hazelwoodmo.org in the “Latest News” section.
