Seems Like Rams Were Doomed After Onside Kick

By Randy Gardner

The chants of Super Bowl 2011 came to a screeching halt on Sunday as the Detroit Lions put a butt kicking on the St. Louis Rams. I know injuries played a part in this one but I knew it was all downhill after the initial onside kick off debacle.

The Rams played horrible on both sides of the ball. I had a really bad feeling going into this one as the Lions are a team like the Rams, not very good over the past several years but can jump up and get a big win at anytime. I knew at 0-4, they were itching for a win and they won big,  much to the dismay of  Rams fans who thought they would be on a roll from now on.

I was excited about the team being 2-2, but let’s be realistic; we are far from making a trip to the Super Bowl.  This will be a big week for the Rams as we will see if they will bounce back or fold under the pressure like in years past.

Embarrassing if Favre Send Photos

As far as players acting stupidly, the alleged allegations of Brett Favre sending explicit pictures of himself to a female in 2008 along with voicemails to stop by his hotel room came on the perfect weekend as the Jets played the Vikings on Monday night football.

It’s all about timing and promotion and that what it was. I wonder at training camp if the professional teams inform their players that with the high price technological stuff they can buy that everything can be traced back to you. Evidently Brett Favre missed that meeting. I guess money and fame will make you do some crazy things.

I feel bad for Brett’s wife and family, to be drug publicly through something like this— how humiliating. My motto in life is that I would never do anything or say anything that I would not want to have done or said about me.

Think if Brett’s wife would have done this to him, how would he feel? We still have to wait  to see if it’s all true in the end.

Not a Good Fit For Tight Jeans

Have you ever been embarrassed publicly? I was red faced this past week as I was in a Charity Fashion Show. Why they would want a small fat man in the show , I don’t really know but I did it anyway because it was to raise money for a good cause. I had to wear skinny jeans along with a sports coat that made me look like I was straight off of the streets of Italy, totally out of my comfort zone.

So I decided to carry a bag over my shoulder to hide the tight fitting jeans. As I walked down the runway in front of about 800 people, the emcee blurts out, ” Randy, nice man bag or is that a male purse, a murse.”

It got a huge laugh, I was totally embarrassed, but I looked at the bright side of things. It took the attention off of my skinny jeans. That’s my manly story to wrap it up this week. Have a great week and go Rams.
