New Memorial Garden At St. Ferdinand Shrine Dedicated

Father Thomas Keller Pastor of St. Angela Merici Parish recently  dedicated the newly opened Memorial brick garden at St. Ferdinand Shrine.  The first group of bricks were placed in the garden and people were invited to the dedication of their memorial brick.

More bricks are in the process of being engraved and will be placed in the  garden when they are received from the Acme Brick Company.  Those who donated the brick will be notified when their particular brick will be placed the garden.

If anyone is interested in having a brick placed in the garden call 314-837-2110 or email oldstferdinandshrine@gmail.com.  Applications are also available at the Shrine.  The bricks made a wonderful gift for someone who wants to honor the Shrine or to have a loved one who had connections with St. Ferdinand honored.

The dedication of the garden was in conjunction with the Shrine’s observance of History Day.  The activities on that day included a Used Book Sale, a speech by Mark Twain, Native American information, Flea Market, Tours of the Shrine and an encampment by the Living History Reenactors.
