The fifth North County Health Screening and Health Fair, sponsored by North County Churches Uniting for Racial Harmony and Justice (NCCU) and People’s Health Centers,  will be held at People’s Health Center, at 11642 West Florissant Rd. on Aug. 7  from 9-1.

There will be free screenings for adults and children including blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, dental, vision and much more.  There will also be a fire truck, chance to win bicycles, school back packs, free refreshments, free lunch for school-age children, and much more.

Most activities will be under the big tent. Participating in this years event in addition to People’s Health Center and NCCU, will be Christian Hospital, DePaul Health Center, and St. Louis County Public Health Department. A fire truck will be  provided  by Florissant Valley Fire Protection District.

This is a major event in North County.  For the last two years more than one thousand individuals have participated each year and have enjoyed and benefited the experience.
