North Corridor Study Project To Extend Into Florissant
Mayor Robert G. Lowery, Sr. has announced that the North Corridor Extension of the current Highway 141 Improvement Project will include Florissant.
This project will consist of reconstructing and improving the existing road and bridges along the northern extension of Highway 141 which includes the Earth City Expressway/Missouri Bottom Road/AubuchonRoad/Charbo-nier Road in conjunction with constructing new bicycle/jogging trails to connect with existing new municipal trails.
Lowery stated “We want to work in concert with St. Louis County representatives in order that the residents of Florissant receive the largest benefit from this future project.” Lowery added: “Even though this is in the study phase, I want go over every possible issue that concerns the residents and businesses along Charbonier Road that will make this improvement a success.”
The studies from various design engineer consulting teams are due back to the City of Florissant by July 1.
The Public Works Department, Engineering Division, is responsible for assuring the quality of all infrastructure projects within the city through design and construction.
