Christmas Celebrations are planned at Old St. Ferdinand Shrine on Saturday Dec 10 and Sunday, Dec 11.

Activities include a visit from Santa Claus, Carriage Rides, Tours of the Shrine, Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, Living History Re-Enactors and the Christmas Concert.

Saturday December 10: Beginning at 5 p.m. Ye Old Christmas Shoppe, Book Sale, and Gift Shop will be open in the old schoolhouse. Food and drink available. Individuals can purchase tickets at that time for a carriage ride and candlelit tour. Cost is $15 per adult and $10 per child for the carriage ride and tour combined.

There will be a living Nativity and carolers will be heard singing familiar Christmas Carols. Tours of the Shrine will take place at night guided by candlelight. The living history re-enactors invite everyone to join them while they tell the tales of the early settlers around an open fire.

Sunday December 11: The Christmas celebration concludes with the traditional Christmas Concert in the Church beginning at 3 pm. The concert features the choirs of Florissant Baptist Church Choir and the Archdiocese Children’s Choir. After the Concert, there will be a reception In the Schoolhouse with light refreshments.
