Grand Reopening May 14 at the
Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower
The Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau and the Village of Hartford at the Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower, is having a Thursday, May 14 ribbon cutting and grand re-opening of this Great River Road attraction.
The opening follows a year-long renovation that included a park expansion, upgrades and expanded visitor experiences, the installation of public art, and a new playscape. The $2.8 million project was funded through a variety of state grants obtained by the Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau and the Village of Hartford.
The Tower will be open Thursdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the Tower and its three viewing platforms is $10 per person for ages 5 and over. The three platforms are 50, 100 and 150-feet high and showcase 360-degree views of the region.
The Confluence Tower opened in 2010 in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Lewis & Clark expedition. The Tower sits at the beginning of the 33-mile Meeting of the Great Rivers National Scenic Byway on the Great River Road
