Baby Essentials Distributed in STL County

St. Louis County Department of Public Health

To Distribute Baby Essentials Tuesday Nov. 18

Saint Louis County will distribute baby essentials generously donated by ommunity members and partner organizations over the last several weeks. County Executive Sam Page, Public Health Director Dr. Kanika Cunningham, and St. Louis County Library Director & CEO Kristen Sorth launched the donation drive late last month in response to the federal shutdown and the uncertainty of SNAP and WIC benefits.

The distribution event will take place Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the John C.

Murphy Health Center at 6121 North Hanley Road in Berkeley from 1 to 6 p.m., or

until donations run out. Families with young children who experienced disruptions

in federal assistance programs like WIC and SNAP are encouraged to attend.

The donations, collected through a partnership between the Saint Louis County

Department of Public Health and the St. Louis County Library, include formula,

diapers, wipes, and other essential supplies.   Thousands of items were contributed

through in-person drop-offs at County Library branches and County Health

Centers, as well as through curated Amazon and Target wish lists.

Donations will continue to be accepted through Monday, Nov, 17
