ROADSHOW” HEADS TO FLORISSANT JULY 8

Next Monday, July 8, the NLC Centennial Roadshow: 100 Year, 100 Cities Visit to the City of Florissant. The National League of Cities (NLC) is excited to announce the next leg of its Centennial Roadshow: 100 Years, 100 Cities, celebrating the diversity, resilience, and transformation of America’s local communities. After a century of dedicated service to cities, towns and villagesacross the nation.

NLC has embarked on this journey to visit 100 cities, commemorating its centennial milestone,” www.nlc.com. “The roadshow kicked off in February at the very place of NLCs’ inception, the University of Kansas. Since February, NLC has been traveling across the country, making stops in cities of all sizes, from coast to coast. As part of this celebratory journey,NLC will be making visits to municipalities in the Midwest,” www.nlc.com. Here is the schedule for the Florissant visit.

8:15 a.m. -Donuts, Coffee, Juice in the City Hall Chambers located at 955 rue St. Francoi -Visit with Council Members, City Employees

8:55 a.m. -Everyone on the FLERT Bus

9:15 a.m. -Bangert Pool Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting Event at Bangert

-Florissant Swim Team, Elected Officials, Parks & Rec Employees, North

County Chambers will be attending

9:40 a.m. -Everyone on the FLERT Bus

-The tour will travel through Florissant Old Town along rue St. Francois Street.

-We will then proceed to John F. Kennedy (JFK) Community Center

10:15 a.m. -Arrive back at City Hall
