Cinema Night at City Hall on Wednesday Night Out

Plaque Dedication For John Grib Sr.

The City of Florissant and Florissant Old Town Partners will hold a Plaque Dedication has been set for Wednesday, June 26. This will the 62nd plaque along St. Francois Walk Thru History Plaque Dedication Program. This program was designed to recognize those individuals who have made valuable contributions to the wholesome fabric of our beautiful City of Florissant and North St. Louis County.

The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at 5:30 across from City Hall before the start of the 2nd Old Town Partners Wednesday Night Out of the season held on the lawn of City Hall. This will be the “City Hall Cinema” night. “Wonka” will be shown at 7:45 pm. This is the 2nd Annual “City Hall Cinema.” There will be music before the film starts and food trucks. Sponsors for “City Hall Cinema” are Goldkamp Heating and Cooling and CNB Bank St. Louis.

   John Grib, Sr. (December 6th, 1942 – October 20th, 2015)

Over two decades, John served on Planning & Zoning and as Ward 2 Councilman (2008-2014), dedicating himself to Florissant. A 45-year Florissant resident raising 3 children. Became a teacher in 1966, prioritizing youth and development. His public service extended to Knights of Columbus trustee, Old Town Partners, St. Ferdinand School Board, and Boy Scout Leader. Recognized by Missouri for his exceptional dedication, John worked to ensure Florissant remained the place he called “Fabulous, Affordable, Florissant.”
