NJT kicks off its 2024 season with Aruthur miller’s searing classic, one of the most iconic dramas of the 20th century. Miller won the very first Tony Award ever given for Best Author (now known as Best Play) for the premiere in 1947.  

HEIR: inheriting the future – April 5, 7:30pm

Holding the future in one hand and the past in the other, this program features composers who reach for the stars. St. Louis composer Blake Hernton synthesizes the influences of his sound journey to present his new work for voice and strings. A member of the Boulanger dynasty sets the stage for a contemporary tribute and the distinctive voice of Jessie Montgomery intersects with the legacy of Leonard Bernstein in a work that illuminates and inspires.

Harmony in Music – April 6

The Grandel

Harmony in Music focuses on distinct styles of music from around the globe. Carnatic music – a classical style of music from India – will blend with new age standards and jazz music of the United States. This concert on April 6 at The Grandel will bring together the best of both worlds, taking the audience on a journey through original scores and fusion blends. Audiences will enjoy selections from the Beatle’s upbeat classics, the smooth songs of Nora Jones’, a rendition of the Irish “Road to Tipperary” with a Indian hillbilly comical twist along with Bollywood’s catchy tunes. \

Jewish Film Festival – April 7-18

Travel the world through film! The J’s St. Louis Jewish Film Festival showcases national and international cinema that explores universal issues through traditional Jewish values, opposing viewpoints and new perspectives. Documentaries, drama and short films are presented for two weeks, with introductions by filmmakers and experts on the issues the films bring forth. Jewish Films for young adults are also presented to the public in an effort to expand discussion and audiences for this age cohort.

Cirque Us DreamCycle – April 9

Circus Harmony is thrilled to have a special performance from the new American circus troupe, Cirque Us, performing their show DreamCycle at City Museum. DreamCycle features an award-winning troupe of circus artists that lead you on an adventure through a strange yet familiar world, performing astounding feats that will make you say, “I must be dreaming!” As the story unravels like the fabric of a dream, we come face to face with both fantasy and nightmare. Featuring aerialists, jugglers, acrobats, contortionists, hand balancers, clowns, and so much more from across the country.

Circus Harmony’s Juggling Ball – April 27

Grab your slippers and bring your friends for a cozy, relaxed evening of dining, dancing, dreaming, and daring.
