New Location for Senior Center at JFK

Local officials and resident celebrated Florissant’s grand opening of the newly renovated JFK Community Center off Howderhell Road as the city hosting an open house March 28

The city transformed the former youth lounge into the new Florissant senior center, which doubles as party room rental in the evening. Mayor Tim Lowery and the council members

dedicated the newly remodeled center stressing the need for the new facility (see photos)

Senior Center director Peggy Hogan  (center photo) was available to show off the new senior center and answer questions about new senior opportunities that will be available.

“It will be nice to have all our senior events in one location,” she said and large enough to expand and add   more programs

The gymnasium can be used for basketball and pickleball but it also doubles as an event venue that can hold over 360 people ,
